Workers on strike at iPhone 5 production lines in China

HONG KONG (Yonhap) — An estimated 3,000 to 4,000 workers have gone on strike at Apple Inc.’s iPhone 5 production lines in China, protesting against the severe working environment, a labor rights group said Saturday.

New York-based China Labor Watch said a strike occurred Friday at Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn Technology Group’s factory in Zhengzhou, the capital and largest city of Henan province in north-central China. Foxconn is the largest supplier for Apple.

I guess U.S. consumers understand that Foxconn is Taiwanese company and not those dreaded Communist Chinese?
