Unicorn lair ‘discovered’ in North Korea

Yet in what appears to be a genuine world exclusive, the inimitable Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) has now broken the incredible news that archaeologists in Pyongyang have discovered a unicorn’s lair.

I think we can safely say that the “onion” (along with the unicorn) is alive and well in Korea.

It’s just that the onion goes along with just about any dish, while the unicorn is limited for the selected few, which the new leader of North Korea now apparently belongs.

  1. ” North Korean officials may have been hoping to secure Pyongyang’s connection to the ancient kingdom of Koguryŏ, while creating an association between their own president, Kim Jong-un, and the larger-than-life rulers of old.”

Yes, the larger-than-life ruler of old, or the Onion.
