Kerry: U.S. Backs Iraq, But Won’t Consider Boots on the Ground

While bombings in Baghdad killed at least 20 people Sunday, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said America would help Iraq battle the al Qaeda militants that overtaken two of the nation’s western cities — but emphasized that the fight belonged to them

This sounds like one of those, “I will fight no more forever” moments, but I wonder if we can call Kerry Chief?

Probably not, but I think he does speak for most Americans.

  1. I mean, the Vietnam War wasn’t really stopped by those structured as the Right or Left, nor by a Liberal or Conservative culture.

The Vietnam War was stopped by War Hawks such as Kerry who volunteered to fight, and Chicken Hawks such as Dick Cheney who preferred others to fight for him.

The Right and Left supplied the means of war, while the Liberal and Conservative culture supplied the way of war.

It was the Hawks who saw no end in the fighting that was worth either the means nor the ways of war.

Maybe the Hawk Chief Joseph was right.
